Artopia is not selective, it is inclusive. Any artist in WA can take part and we leave the visitor to form their own opinion about the art. All events are FREE with very few exceptions.

Visiting Artopia – how you can take part as a visitor

Use the printed Guide* or the Program section of this website to plan your visits to meet artists and to see their work. Whether you decide to walk, cycle, drive or take public transport, look out for the Artopia signs, as some of the venues are really tucked away!

The Big Draw: You can join in too! No experience necessary! Rekindle your love of drawing by taking part in one or more of the 12 Big Draw events across the state. Suitable for all ages. More info.
Up to 100 open studios
Art trails, sculpture walks, tours, workshops and talks
Distinctive events, art prizes and exhibitions
Artabout – a free shuttle bus around the Northbridge venues in Perth on Sun 23 Sep + Fri 5 Oct. More info.

Artists@Work 07

Be inspired to host an artist at your workplace. Artists are charging up the creative energy of teams and building connections within your community. The results of some partnerships will be on show for the public.

720 ABC Perth	A fly on the wall at the ABC - Peter Kendall is sketching behind the scenes. Add your comments to his blog. More info.
Boddington Gold Mine	Visit Patricia Hines, printmaker, who is creating new work at the Boddington Old School in response to her visit to the mine; 1-6 Oct. More info.
Chamber of Commerce & Industry WA	Stuart Elliot has set up his studio in the foyer of the Chamber! More info.
HASSELL	Concrete artists Monia Allegre and Margaret Dillon and the architects have a unique design collaboration - introducing UWA students to the process of ‘city-making’. More info.
HIsmelt	Angela Rossen, landscape painter, is sketching with the staff and local community creating work on the theme “People Planet Prosperity”. See the art and the site on Sat 6 Oct. More info.
Premier Coal / Wesfarmers Arts	Peter Dailey, sculptor, is producing a site specific work from recycled waste materials. See the art and the site on Sat 27 Oct. More info.
Roberts Day	Rodney Glick is working with urban designers and town planners in a mutually creative union geared to creating communities with depth and meaning. More info.
Tourism Western Australia	Linda van der Merwe is running internal drawing workshops bringing the staff together to create a joint artwork. More info.
